My name is Mihiret Melaku, and I am a psychologist specializing in developmental disorders, particularly autism. Over the past two years, I have dedicated myself to working with special needs children in Ethiopia, providing training to over 100 mothers across Addis Ababa and other cities. My experience extends to daycare settings, where practical engagement with children has deepened my understanding and skills. This hands-on approach is complemented by various short courses and training sessions aimed at enhancing my expertise. I hold a degree in psychology from Mekelle University, which laid the foundation for my commitment to creating a supportive environment for these children, believing firmly that with the right support, they can lead lives as fulfilling as their peers.
